Suzy Gardner has been with the FDIC for over 24 years and is a Senior Examination Specialist in the FDIC’s Policy and Program Development Section in Washington, D.C. Since 2006, Ms. Gardner has covered a wide variety of interagency policy issues such as interagency guidance on nontraditional mortgage loans in 2006, subprime mortgage lending and loan modifications in 2007, appraisals and evaluations for real estate loans in 2008 and 2010, prudent CRE loan workouts in 2009, and small business lending and correspondent concentration risks in 2010. Ms. Gardner also serves as the FDIC’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Appraisal Subcommittee. In addition, Ms. Gardner is a certified fraud examiner and is recognized as an expert witness by the FDIC, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice.
